National Art Honor Society @ BFUHS

NAHS is a high school honor society for visual arts students in grades 9-12.  NAHS is more than just an “art club.” Students are required to meet eligibility criteria for membership by maintaining at least a 3.0 unweighted cumulative GPA and showing good character and strong interest in visual art.  As a chapter the BFUHS NAHS will work together to serve our school community through various artistic projects, starting with designing and painting murals within our school building.

Our NAHS chapter will bring recognition to BFUHS students and elevate our school’s art program by highlighting the value of the arts as part of our school’s curriculum.  Students will gain peer recognition and leadership growth opportunities that support college preparation, as well as opportunities for awards, scholarships, and having artwork published nationally. BFUHS Chapter of NAHS invites all students grades 10-12 with an overall B average and an A average in art with a passion for the arts and community.  Our main initiative for the 2021-22 school year will be to beautify the interior  walls of the high school with student designed murals

Applications for the 21-22 school year are open until October 28, 2021.
